Looking back: Oh Boy in Poland

History is Storytelling

Stories are everywhere on this big beautiful planet of ours.

I have been fortunate to have been sent on assignment to Poland to capture the excitement around an innovation workshop, which started in Vancouver in 2013 and has since gone global. Both times I went to Krakow to film this workshop, I took every opportunity I had to explore this beautiful city rich with history, wonderful people, and delicious food.

I felt a subtle personal connection to the land, being not far from where my Omi grew up and fled unimaginable conflict decades before I arrived. It’s Krakow, it’s Poland, and this minute is hardly a glimpse of all it has to offer.

About Krakow

Krakow is the second largest city in Poland, with around 1.7 million living in its metropolitan area. It has served as a capital for various empires and nations in its history and is currently one of Poland’s major academic, cultural, and artistic hubs. Rich in history, its city center was one of the first places ever on UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites list.
