Looking back: Heart & Stroke

Closing the gender gap

Did you know that after a heart attack, women are at a higher risk of death than men?

The Heart & Stroke Foundation aims to close this gap. Its research over the years has led to improved diagnostics and early detection, saving countless lives.

For their Heart of Gold Gala in Vancouver, we are proud to produce this video featuring several women who have directly benefited.

A great success

Thanks to the gala, Heart & Stroke Foundation raised over $900,000 benefiting women’s heart and brain health – and one step closer to their goal of promoting research, care, education, and diagnosis.

About the Heart & Stroke Foundation

The Heart & Stroke Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advocacy, education, and funding of heart disease and stroke research. It also aims to improve quality of life for people who have experienced heart disease or stroke.

Earlier this year, it released a report called Ms. Understood, highlighting the increased risk factors of heart disease and stroke for women in particular, and how we can find solutions.
